Hari ini, Sabtu tanggal 4 Desember 2010, Yayasan UNISMA Malang melantik Prof. Dr. Surahmat, M.Si sebagai rektor Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA) Periode 2011-2015. Prof. Dr. Surahmat, M.Si merupakan satu-satunya rektor UNISMA termuda dari beberapa rektor sebelumnya.
